Not The Onion: The UN's Human Rights Council Just Held A Moment of Silence For...Fidel Castro

The United Nations' Human Rights Council had a moment of silence on Monday for recently deceased former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Castro's reign in Cuba was marked by thousands of human rights violations. Property was seized by the government. Homosexuals were imprisoned. Castro's own family members fled the country for their own safety. Millions of Cubans decided to face shark-infested waters in an attempt to make it to Florida rather than live in their country under Castro. This man is a disgrace to human rights, and should not be honored or remembered with any kind of respect.
