Remember back at the dawn of his presidency, how President Obama flew off to Cairo to speechify about "his personal commitment to engagement, based upon mutual interests and mutual respect" (in the words of then-spokesman Robert Gibbs)?

Well, count it as another Obama fail. The US is now more unpopular in the Middle East than it was during the tenure of President George W. Bush.
