President Obama, Linda Douglas, And The Very, Very Stubborn Facts

Could you be on President Obama’s “enemies list” and not even know it?

If you dare to disagree with him, you might be.

Just to be clear, the allegation that President Obama has been compiling an “enemies list” was officially raised last Thursday by Senator John Cornyn of Texas. Left-wing bloggers were quick to determine that Senator Cornyn is crazy, and to dismiss the entire incident, yet the White House regarded Cornyn’s remarks seriously enough that by Friday, it was responding to Cornyn and insisting that he is wrong.

It will be also fun to when the rest of America wakes up to a health care system that continues to destroy our economy, has increasingly sky-high insurance rates that will be bankrupting more and more people, and they can look to conservatives as the faction that made it all possible.

Today I heard that activists - at least some - have started coming to the TH meetings armed. It's also fun to imagine what it will be like when someone's brains are blown out, and the race by gun-loving health care opponents to disassociate themselves from it, a la abortion Drs.

On Saturday state-run media outlet CNN released the results of it's much awaited "CNN National Report Card: Second 100 Days"
http://reportcard.cnn.com/

The subtext reads: "America has graded the Obama Administration and Congress on how it's handled the second 100 days in office." (remember-this is CNN, so you can expect the majority of respondents to be liberals since they are mainly the only ones who can stomach the pap coming from the Communist News Network these days.)

Even so, on Q1-Grade the Obama Administration's handling of the economy, he was...

If some are going to play the race card every couple of days, we could stimulate the economy by parking several $100bn in the United States Playing Card Company.

When will Marxist become another new "N" word? Goodness, all of the libraries and publishing companies in the world are going to have to darken the face of Karl Marx. Isn't that stimulating?

"How about I go to the "overpriced doctor" for my illnesses"

Gayle, this may not have penetrated your righteous little bubble, but every thirty minutes an American goes bankrupt because of medical bills.

After reading the ignorant, misinformed, foaming-at-the-mouth rage on this thread, one can only hope that the next 30,000 are conservative republicans.

If you can't understand the irony of someone wearing swatikas at a rally against affordable health care who has to go into debt or borrow from friends in order to pay the medical expenses that resulted from it, you people are more humor-deprived than I originally suspected.

I received the same email. My response was to respond to Axelrod, and tell him he needed a reality check as I had been a conservative for over 40 yearss, Obama was not the better America deserved, and that I opposed everything the Dems stood for. Then, I forwarded it as fishy email to flag@Whitehouse.gov.

I haven't read the whole thread yet, so maybe someone else here got this, too, but - I got an email today from David Axelrod??? WTF?
Where the HE** did they get my email address??? There's a box at the bottom of this thing to "unsubscribe". I never subscribed in the first place! Sorry for all the exclamation marks, but this REALLY pi**es me off.

Dear Friend,
That’s why we’ve launched a new online resource — WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck — to help you separate fact from fiction and share the truth about health insurance reform. Here's a few of the reality check videos you can find on the site:

There's more information and a number of online tools you can use to spread the truth among your family, friends and other...

Come back after your experiences and tell us all how funny it was, okay?

Are'nt you a little confused??? As an Independent I find it much more usual for Democrats and especially Left-Wing Liberals to stoop to this type of rhetoric! SEIU is a Lefty group who attacked a young black man and sent him to the hospital just a few days ago! BO came out a few days ago and told the people who opposed his so-called "Healthcare plan" to SHUTUP!!! When the Gays lost in their quest to make California change the law to include man and man, and women and women marriages on a par with marriage as described between one woman and one man, they went out and attacked known church going people and little old ladies who were picketers for traditional marriage. All of these were attacks against FREE SPEECH! They were ILLEGAL!...

"You mean that Black man who was beaten for the crime of expressing his views?

Actually, I don't find it funny at all."

What's funny is that the mob-protester against health care has had to hit his friends up for money to pay his (probably overpriced) doctor because he couldn't afford insurance.

That is funny, Dude.

I am also not surprised by early 20th century lynchings, or gay hate crimes.

But while the partial reason for my sanguine response to human horror is not so much about conservatism as it is about the frequent willing depravity and cruelty of human nature, which I have learned to witness first hand through the sentiments and beliefs and threats of conservatives.

"FDR authorized the internment of Japanese Americans, and he was probably the most "Progressive" president we have had, only rivaled by Woodrow Wilson and now Barry Obama.

The internment of Japanese citizens was supported by every conservative group in America as well as many "liberals".

This may be a stretch for you, but my point was that since 9/11 and the current conservative movement I am no longer surprised by anything in history that once seemed inexplicable, whether it was the inquisition, the rise of Hitler, with the popular support of Jewish extermination (mainly supported in German right-wing publications and magazines), or the internment of Japanese/American citizens, which, as it turned out, was more about...

I see now how all of it happend, a bunch of conservative bumpkins decided that Japanese Americans were commie nazi marxists who were going to take over the country, a short step to arresting them and committing them to camps."

It is funny on several levels that you choose history as something you have read a great deal of and then use the internment of Japanese Americans as an example to beat down conservative values.

I know I am on the list because I sent the site the following message last week:

Subject: "Fishy"

1."Do you think that doctors are going to spend $100,000s of dollars on an education so that they can get a % less than $1?"

2.Canadian Doctors are not wealthy

3.British Doctors are not wealthy

Huh?

Also, for the record, every physician I know (who are still practicing that is, most retired early because of their hatred for our health care system) are deeply in favor of a new system of health care.

No one will argue with the value of preventive care. However, it only is a cost savings to those patients who don’t eventually develop a disease or who catch one early enough to use less costly treatments to cure it. Common sense tells us that a rapid increase in utilization will create cost increases, not decreases, and that the savings will only come in the long term — and as the CBO discovered, will not cover the cost increases.

Arguing that this effort will save money is dishonest. Unfortunately for Obama, that’s the only argument he has for fiscal responsibility and cost savings in Obamacare, or at least the only one that doesn’t involve heavy rationing of services."
