What was the biggest suprise of Election Day?

Senator Joe Biden lied at least 14 times during the vice presidential debate according to those counting at John McCain’s presidential headquarters.

Tucker Bounds, a spokesman from GOP presidential candidate John McCain’s campaign said in a statement, “Joe Biden graduated from his trademark verbal gaffe to outright lie in tonight’s debate.”

McCain’s blogger-in-chief Michael Goldfarb chronicled the 14 lies HERE.

On the foreign policy front, Biden challenged Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin when she said Barack Obama’s pledge to meet with any foreign leaders, including Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, without precondition “goes beyond naivete and goes beyond poor judgment.”

Biden lectured Palin, “That's just simply not true about Barack Obama. He did not say he'd sit down with Ahmadinejad.” During the YouTube Democratic primary debate last July Obama was asked if he would meet the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea without “precondition” during his first year in office.

“I would,” he replied.

Biden appeared to attack Obama for making that very statement in August 2007. While Biden was challenging Obama for the Democratic nomination for president Biden said he would not support such a pledge. “Would I make a blanket commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of each of those countries within the first year I was elected president?” he said in an appearance at the National Press Club. “Absolutely positively no."

Five of the lies Biden told were related to tax and energy votes. During the debate Biden adamantly claimed McCain voted the same way as Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama did on a vote to raise taxes on those making $42,000 a year. The legislative record shows McCain was not present in the Senate for either of those votes and is recorded as “not voting.”

The RNC also takes issue with Biden’s assessment Palin supports a “windfall profits tax” and Biden’s claim McCain voted against alternative energy 23 times. The independent Factcheck.org has previously stated when Obama and other Democrats made similar charges about the 23 votes “they’re overstating the case.”

The other lies detailed by Goldfarb were related to Biden’s characterization of McCain’s healthcare plan, stances on bank deregulation and the $700 billion financial bailout that recently passed the Senate.

stolen election!
As a proud Republican we lived through all the complaining and crying from Big Al of a stolen election, he was still crying about it in 2008.Going back a little further I remember when President Kennedy was elected, there was talk that his father was able to buy a couple of states! There were some that wanted Nixon to fight it, he said it wouldn't be good for the country.

This election there was 14 or so states that had complained of all the funny stuff that was going on with ACORN. ACORN is a by-partisn group that is funded by our government to register people, what I find amazing about this group by-partisn ship, that Obama gave them over $800,000 to go out and get the vote. Now I am darn sure it wasn't to go out and get Republicans to register. Obama made a promice when he was still running against Hillary that if he got the nomination for the Dem's he could promise their would be 30% more black registered to vote. Now I wonder how a man who is beyond race could promise that and most of all how that was not considered as being racist?

I feel this election was stolen by the help of ACORN and the media. We have a new president that most people don't have a clue what he is for, or who he actually is. The media was in the tank from day one for Obama even to the point that if anything did hint at something shady they ignored or changed the tone of the story. It was all there for the world to see what they did to poor Hillary. As much as I dislike the Clintons I actually felt a little sorry for her.

This election I have come to the conclusion that to vote one should have to at least be able to pass a simple test, making sure the potentional voter does have a IQ above moron to be able to vote. And the Media should be put under the fairness act, that is the one Mizz Pelosi wants to reenact against talk radio, well make all the media be under it.

We all need to pray for the admistration and congress.

ED you bleed Liberal!
McCain didn't back the GI bill because of all the petty things added after the original drafting. College money for 2 years in service does not promote the idea of making the service a career but instead to get out sooner and reap your benefits, was one of the things that didn't fit into this bill.

Name 1 single person who has all the answers in any debate. You are use to Obama's bull and no substance you think he has ALL the answers.

MCCain's VP pick's name is Gov.Sarah Palin.

You also forget that the Bush administration had 9/11, the aftermath of 9/11, WAR,4 Hurricanes, the mid-west flooded twice, massive tornado damage 2 years in a row, then came the Liberals in 06.

Pelosi won't bring up bills for votes on energy,Judges(we are still short 9 I believe)everything they did put up was full of millions of taxpayer dollars in earmarks, the Senate was no better. At least Bush had the onions to veto as much as he could to try and keep our Great Nation running.

And don't forget the Liberals OWN this economic mess, starting with FMay and FMac. Do your own homework before you say we here have not. Now who's the idiot? Geesh you liberals are so angry.
