Update on Gabrielle Giffords Medical Condition

Sunday 12:59 PM EST Doctors at University Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz. are reporting an update of Rep. Giffords medical condition. Giffords has been placed into a medically induced coma and parts of her skull have been removed to help alleviate swelling from surgery conducted yesterday after being shot in the head at point blank range. The bullet only passed through one hemisphere of her brain. She was able to follow simple commands this morning.

Also, the Red Cross in Tucson needs universal blood donors for yesterday's victims. Type O positve or negative. If you live in the Tucson area and are willing to donate, go to St. Andrews Oro Valley or St. Thomas at the Apostle until 11:30 AM Arizona time or Foothills Mall Red Cross Location until 3:00 PM Arizona time.
