Giving a Leg Up to Our Competition

As the Wall Street Journal points out, it's amazing that the President will underwrite offshore oil drilling -- not for the US,  but for Brazil.

And all this nothwithstanding concerns being voiced in The New York Times, of all places, that an explosion of oil wealth may facilitate the rise of a new kind of Brazilian nationalism that isn't entirely good for the USA.

When you look at Obama's policies -- saddling the US with almost insurmountable debt, peddling health care policies that will destroy the greatest innovator in the world, cap 'n tax, and now this oil drilling for others but not for us -- it's almost enough to make one suspect that there are people in the Administration who are attempting to impose radical equality not just within the US, but between the US and the rest of the world.
