Lame Ducks Quacking

John Fund points to the Democrats' increasingly clear indications that they will try to move controversial and unpopular legislation -- but only after the mid-term elections.

Every Republican candidate should ask his/her Democrat opponent what his/her stance is on politicians waiting to do their jobs only after they are insulated, one way or another, from political accountability for them.

My recent Townhall column on this topic sets out my views: Not only is a lame duck strategy profoundly deceitful, it's almost anti-democratic -- and an assault on the civic health of a democratic republic.
