In Debbie Downer's defense, why wouldn't Democrats be clamoring to claim ownership of this gangbusters economy? Weren't we just informed on Sunday that Democrats have "turned it around," or whatever? Let the good times roll. Says President Obama of DWS: "Don't mess with Debbie!" (a compliment he seems to bestow on his goofiest confidants). Rest assured, Mr. President, righties won't lift a finger to "mess" with your hand-picked party chairwoman. She's doing a fabulous job.
