A Florida man defended his residence on Tuesday after three home invaders broke into his home during the day, prompting the man to grab his firearm and shoot at them, causing all three to flee and hitting at least one.
News4Jax reports the footage was captured by the apartments' Ring security camera. It shows the three men walking up the stairs to the door, looking around to see if anyone is watching, and the first man using his body to break open the door.
After successfully opening it, all three rush inside. About eight seconds later, gunshots can be heard, followed by all three running out the door. One of the suspects decided to leap over the second-story railing and fall to the ground on the sidewalk.
Surveillance images from a nearby parking lot showed the suspects leaving in two getaway cars. One of the suspects later went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. The other two are still at large.

"No matter who you are, this is a very scary situation," said News4Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson, a former Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detective. "This homeowner realizes he has the right to protect himself, and he pulls out his gun and he begins to fire. He’s well within justification to do that."
Neptune Beach police confirmed the apartment resident will not be facing any charges.
