Well she wasn't expecting that! MSNBC's Katy Tur camped outside a Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) rally on Tuesday expecting to find some of the senator's fervent fans. But one gentleman made sure she knew he was not a Bernie bro. Not even close. Instead of praising Sanders's socialist policies, he proudly explained why he voted for Donald John Trump.

"Bernie Sanders is not appealing to you?" Tur offered.
Instead of responding with just a simple "no," he gave the reporter more than she bargained for.
"The whole ideology would be destructive to the country," the man explained. "It's anti-growth, it's anti-family, it's anti-American. And as a Roman Catholic, it's anti-life."
Tur, as you can see, tried to grin and bear it.
This voter's remarks, however, that apparently surprised MSNBC, are shared by most Republicans, especially the ones Matt and I met at the president's massive rally in Manchester Monday night. The loudest applause of the night, which was uttered by Trump, Vice President Pence and other speakers, was that the president "will never allow American to become a socialist country." Just listen to the roar.

With policies like Medicare for All, Sen. Sanders would bring us awfully close. Even Democratic voters I've spoken with in New Hampshire this past week, many of whom are supporting a more "moderate" candidate like Pete Buttigieg, admitted that Sanders may just be too extreme for the country. Even those who do support him admit that his policies may be too extreme for the general election and that if he's elected, his agenda would never get enacted.
"Achieving all of his objectives, even if I agree with all of them, putting them all out there at the same time, I think is going to be difficult," said Patrick from northern Virginia. "I am skeptical that it would work nationally."
