Whoa: Ukraine Asked Vindman to Be Their Defense Minister...Three Times

During testimony on Capitol Hill Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman was asked by the Ukrainian government to serve as defense minister for the country...three times. The requests came during a visit to the country earlier this year. Vindman says each time he dismissed the offer.

Vindman is a staff member of the National Security Council and was on the July 25, 2019 phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He then spoke about that call to the whistleblower who filed a complaint with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, setting off the impeachment inquiry.
