David Hogg has a rather odd demand if he gets assassinated. Yeah, talk about some light talk, huh folks? The anti-gun activist who rose to national prominence for pushing gun control after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida wants his decorated body to be sent to the steps of the National Rifle Association…because they would be the ones responsible for his death or something. The March for Our Lives co-founder has gone under the radar in recent months, but he, along with Emma Gonzalez and Cameron Kasky, saw one of the biggest surges in gun control activism since Newtown. And once again, the NRA was the Left’s favorite boogeyman.
It’s a double-edged sword. On one hand, it’s a sign that one of the oldest civil rights organization is effective at pushing their agenda, getting their endorsed candidates elected, and outmaneuvering their opponents. The NRA and the Second Amendment movement have done well in that field of battle, but the anti-gun movement has clinched wins too. The downside is that pervasive media bashing of the NRA when a mass shooting occurs or when the Democrats lose an election. Yet, this sort of nonsense gets tiring, but hey—take a bow, NRA. David Hogg has officially been clear: If he’s assassinated, he wants his corpse to decorate the doorstep of the NRA’s headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. This is, of course, after activists do a photo shoot with it for propaganda purposes.
The anti-gun March For Our Lives founder explained that if he’s ever shot he wants his death to be used to promote gun control, in a series of tweets issued on Sunday. He also created a hashtag his supporters can use to indicate that they too want their corpses leveraged for activism if they’re ever shot.
Hogg is also a co-founder of March For Our Lives, a political, anti-gun group comprised of middle and high school students that has published a plan for gun control, that they call “the green new deal but for guns.”
Yeah, and if you guessed that their agenda calls for gun bans, you’d be correct (via Free Beacon):
The plan, titled A Peace Plan for a Safer America, calls on the federal government to institute buybacks to reduce the number of civilian-owned guns in the United States. As the plan notes, last year the Small Arms Survey estimated there were more than 393 million civilian-owned guns in the country.
The plan does not specify how many guns would be purchased through voluntary buybacks and how many taken through mandatory buybacks, but it says "assault weapons" would be subject to a mandatory buyback. Depending on how many buybacks are mandatory, the gun control group's plan could require the confiscation of up to 117 million firearms.
Well, that sounds pretty unconstitutional.
