She is the queen of the tantrum. No seriously, I mean Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is a talented actress. Maybe we should give her some credit (I use that phrase VERY lightly) in that she seems willing to shoot inside the ship, much to the ire of the Democratic leadership. Whatever the case, it still doesn’t negate the fact that she’s a partisan and she’s become the Right’s favorite target for one simple reason: she peddles trash views on policy. She’s one of the main proponents of the Green New Deal, which is a multi-trillion dollar policy perception that ends with the economic death of the United States. On border security, she’s equally a joke, being the face of the abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement movement on the Hill. She recently toured a U.S. Border Patrol facility in El Paso, where she reportedly had a full-blown tantrum, yelling at Border Patrol agents. Ana Giaritelli of The Washington Examiners reported on this blow-up, and other Democrat reportedly had similar episodes. Oh, and there were pro-Trump protesters at the presser as well. They heckled Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX)
"What we saw today was unconscionable," Rep. Ocasio-Cortez says during visit to border facility. "No woman should ever be locked up in a pen, when they have done no harm to another human being. They should be given water. They should be given basic access to human rights." pic.twitter.com/rXVQEvT8hZ

SCOOP: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., screamed at federal law enforcement agents “in a threatening manner” during a visit to a U.S. Border Patrol facility in El Paso, Texas, Monday afternoon and refused to tour the facility, according to two people who witnessed it.

13 other House Democrats as well as their aides were in the room. I'm told only Rep. Ocasio-Cortez reacted in this manner. https://t.co/XdH5Fpru0z

Now I’m told Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, is “yelling” at El Paso Border Patrol Chief Aaron Hull https://t.co/l6nhVHImlD

Democrats tried to pass off the border crisis as a manufactured crisis peddled by the Trump White House. It wasn’t. And as the stories of detention centers began to fill up and conditions deteriorated, the tune changed. The House and Senate both put forward bills to finally address the situation, despite the Trump administration calling for more funds to deal with the overcrowding. The House bill was trash, adding provisions that would rein in ICE. The Senate GOP bill was the only passable $4.6 billion package, which moderate House Democrats said they were willing to pass. House Speaker Pelosi caved, as a result, prompting AOC to go into a screed on Twitter over this Trump win on immigration. To make things even funnier, she tried to label it a partisan GOP bill, despite overwhelming bipartisan support.
The cause for AOC’s intense reaction is grounded in allegations that border patrol agents were telling illegals to drink from toilets (via NBC News):
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Monday described the abysmal conditions she and other members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus witnessed after visiting two immigration detention facilities in Texas, including Customs and Border Patrol officers telling detained women to "drink out of the toilets."
“After I forced myself into a cell w/ women & began speaking to them, one of them described their treatment at the hands of officers as ‘psychological warfare’ — waking them at odd hours for no reason, calling them wh*res, etc.,” she wrote. “Tell me what about that is due to a “lack of funding?”
[…]
“I see why CBP officers were being so physically and sexually threatening towards me,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “Officers were keeping women in cells w/ no water & had told them to drink out of the toilets.”
I’ll leave that for you to decide. These are partisan Democrats, we have an upcoming election year, and they want to be stoking Hispanic voter discontent with Trump; Trump’s numbers with this demographic are not terrible, by the way. This party wants open borders, they hate ICE, and they hate those who enforce immigration laws. Sorry, skepticism, from me, runs high.
