Here's Who Jason Chaffetz Believes Should Lose Their Security Clearance Over The Mueller Investigation

Former Chairman of the House Oversight Committee and Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz (R) said he believes House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) needs to resign from the committee and have his security clearance revoked.

Despite the Mueller report showing President Donald Trump did not collude with Russia, Schiff has gone on various TV shows saying there is "evidence" that actually proves that finding to be false. Of course, Schiff continually pushes that narrative but has absolutely nothing to back up claim.

“I think what [Rep. Schiff] should do is lose his security clearance-- without a security clearance he can't serve on the committee. To lose the trust, albeit on the other side of the aisle, I have never seen,” Chaffetz told said during "Trish Regan Primetime" on Thursday.

Chaffetz believes this is a direct reflection of Schiff's leadership (or lack thereof). He said that although he was part of many contentious hearings, there was always decorum, something Schiff clearly lacks.

“Look at the way the committee operated before, with [Democratic Congressman and former House Intel Committee Chair] Dutch Ruppersberger. We have never had this problem," Chaffetz explained. "And look in the Senate—with Mark Warner [Democrat and Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee]. We don't have these problems except with Adam Schiff. I don’t think he should be the Chairman, and I don’t think he should have a security clearance.”

Chaffetz reminded viewers that the Trump campaign had multiple opportunities to take Russia up on their intelligence on Democratic candidates but they refused yet Schiff has continually ran with the idea that the campaign did use Russia's information.

"Schiff has been signing this song for two years, it's full of lies, he's lost people's trust and this is the Intel Committee. It's not supposed to be the political arm of the DNC [Democratic National Committee]," Chaffetz concluded.

Chaffetz is the latest to call on Schiff to step down from the Intelligence Committee. Nine Republicans sent a letter calling for him to resign, Kellyanne Conway has said he needs to resign, and President Trump has echoed those sentiments.
