Former Texas Congressman Robert “Bob” O’Rourke is probably going to run for president in 2020. He’s not going to run for the U.S. Senate again after Republican Ted Cruz beat him in 2018. Yet, his performance has earned him a rising star position…because almost beating a Republican in Texas is apparently the benchmark. It doesn’t negate the fact that he’s still a loser. He’s been called “Beto” in the press. It’s Bob. And he’s just another white guy running for president, as any exhausted social justice warrior would say. O’Rourke will join a very crowded field, which will inevitably devolve into a contest over who can become the most unhinged leftist of this cuckoo nest (via The Hill):
Several people close to O'Rourke told the newspaper that he is expected to launch a presidential campaign in the next few weeks as Democrats gear up to take on President Trump in 2020.
"Amy and I have made a decision about how we can best serve our country," O'Rourke said in a statement to The Dallas Morning News. "We are excited to share it with everyone soon."

A Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll released exclusively to The Hill this week showed Biden leading the field of potential Democratic contenders, followed by Sanders and Harris, who placed second and third, respectively.
O'Rourke came in at fourth, with 6 percent support.
The 46-year-old, little known nationally until his Texas Senate run last year, has inspired aides and allies of former President Obama, who say they could support him if he decides to run for president in 2020.
Bob seems to be coming around on border walls, which he slammed when President Trump held a rally in El Paso earlier this month. We’ll see what happens.
