Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is expected to be re-elected on Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean she can’t trip up and have embarrassing moments. She’s already become the source of mockery for her fake ancestral claim to the Cherokee Nation, which has infuriated some actual members of the tribe. She released the results of a DNA test, which she says proves her claim, though it shows she’s just another white lady. She’s 1/1024th Native American. Yet, this isn’t the only time she’s been…scalped.
During the vicious fight over Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, she apparently ran aground of ethics rules; she’s been accused of illegally fundraising off the Kavanaugh fight, promising anti-Kavanaugh supporters an opposition vote if they gave money. During Tuesday’s Massachusetts Senate debate, this complaint was brought up by her Republican challenger, Geoff Diehl, and backed up by the moderator. Warren said she had no idea there was even a complaint filed against her (via Free Beacon):
'Senator Warren was fundraising illegally using the vote on Justice Kavanaugh, the confirmation vote, to try to raise money for her campaigns,' Diehl said.

It alleges Warren fundraised based off her intended vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Court. The Senate prohibits 'linking a promise of official action to a solicitation of campaign contributions.'
Warren initially ignored the comment, accusing Diehl of failing to sufficiently criticize President Donald Trump’s conduct during the Kavanaugh confirmation process.
After some back and forth between the candidates, one of the moderators cut off Warren’s complaint about the president to return to the ethics complaint against her. 'I would like to drill down on what Representative Diehl said. The fundraising while the vote was being taken on the Kavanaugh hearing – did you or did you not do that?'
'Actually, I don’t know,' she replied.
The audience gasped.
'Yes, there’s an ethics complaint that has been filed about a fundraising email,' one moderator replied.
'Then, then I will, I will check into it,' Warren said, 'but I don’t know.'

The Senate Ethics Manual prohibits behavior that even appears to represent a conflict of interest. It forbids 'as a broad prohibition against members, officers or employees deriving financial benefit, directly or indirectly, from the use of their official position.'
This probably won’t have much of an impact, but Warren is a complete and total joke. She’s a fraud, who committed the cardinal sin of appropriating another culture in what appears to be a move for personal gain. She’s had a prolific academic career and now is a U.S. Senator, so you do the math. Directly or indirectly, it’s hard to argue against Warren not benefitting from her fake Native American claims. So, here’s again to the birth of Lie-A-Watha Warren.

The bottom line is she knowingly used the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings to fundraise for her re-election campaign and has refused to take responsibility for her illegal actions," said Kendra Arnold, the Executive Director of Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, the organization who filed the complaint."Elected officials shouldn’t get to decide what laws they want to follow or ignore and that is why we are asking the Senate Ethics Committee to fully investigate this matter and hold Senator Warren accountable for her actions. It’s easy to launch attacks and ignore the issue. It's much harder to answer the question and deal with the facts, she can't do either successfully.”
