Gowdy Defends Sessions and Comey Against Continued Attacks From Democrats

Former prosecutor and South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy is defending Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey as Democrats continue to hurl accusations of wrong doing at the two law enforcement officials.

Yesterday Sessions announced he would recuse himself from any cases surrounding the 2016 presidential election after news broke he met with the Russian ambassador twice last year, but did not say so during his confirmation hearing in January. For Democrats a recusal isn't enough and many, including Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, are calling for a resignation.

Democrats are also going after FBI Director James Comey for allegedly not providing enough information about Russia interference. Comey briefed Congressmen from appropriate committees yesterday on the issue.
