Last night, the New England Patriots launched a stunning comeback and defeated the Atlanta Falcons in overtime to win their fifth Super Bowl. The game seemed all but over, and some people got a bit smug during halftime gloating over the Patriots' imminent demise. Many people took the opportunity to blame Donald Trump for the Patriots' uncharacteristically horrible play during the first half.
Of course, this came back to bite them in the butt when the Patriots won after all. Here are some of the better examples:
It would be awesome if the Falcons refused to go to the White House.

Atlanta now has an 86% chance of winning, per ESPN. That's about the same Clinton's chances heading into the election pic.twitter.com/fNpBPSO8tJ

99.6% for ATL at one point, per ESPN. IDK much about these football models, but that's much crazier than Trump/Clinton pic.twitter.com/eOdAwwOPp8

Whoops!
What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!
