'I’m a Huge Marco Fan': Rubio Camp Uses Old Jeb Soundbites for New Ad

Team Marco Rubio has just employed a pretty clever campaign ad to counteract recent criticism from his 2016 opponent Jeb Bush. Using old soundbites, the Rubio campaign is reminding voters that Bush had nothing but praise for the senator before they started running for president. "I'm a huge Marco fan," Bush says at one point.

A clever way for Rubio to prove that Bush's sudden flamethrowers are just "phony attacks."

For weeks, Jeb Bush has used a strange tactic by targeting his fellow Floridian for his missed Senate votes. The strategy has failed on all accounts. What the governor hoped would be a showstopping moment during the CNBC debate turned out to be an awkward exchange in which Rubio emerged as the victor.

"I don't remember you ever complaining about John McCain's vote record, and the only reason you're complaining about mine is because somebody ... has convinced you that attacking me is going to help you," Rubio said.

A Bush Super PAC has also gone on the offensive against Rubio for being too...pro-life. Rubio campaign aides responded by sarcastically wondering if this is what Bush meant by campaigning "joyfully."

Bush v. Rubio is one sub rivalry we'll certainly be watching for at tonight's debate.
