In Other News: Castro Runs Out of Prison Cells, Asks Obama to Hand Over Gitmo

Here are some other highlights and headlines that I noticed over at Ransom Notes Radio:

The White House refuses to describe the Taliban as a “terrorist” organization… They’re calling them an “armed insurgency”. But that’s okay. After all, Obama isn’t really the leader of the free world. He just plays one on TV. (And he doesn’t play it terribly well, by the way.)

Russian lawmakers are getting ready to officially condemn the reunification (that took place 26 years ago) of East and West Germany. Wow… Putin really holds on to a grudge.

(Washington Post)

Castro is demanding that the US return the military base at Guantánamo Bay, fully lift the embargo, and “compensate Cuba for damages” before relations can be fully reestablished. Sadly, this sounds exactly like the type of deal Obama would accept. Maybe, for good measure, we should ask the Russians if they want a new place to park some nuclear missiles.

The graduate center of the City University of New York, has advised staff to avoid using the terms “Mr., Mrs. or Ms.” because they may not be “gender inclusive” enough, and could offend someone. My guess is that everyone will be addressed by the school’s preferred title: Comrade.

(National Review)

An NBC commentator has described American sniper Chris Kyle as a “racist” who went on “killing sprees” in Iraq… I’m going to describe this commentator as “a gutless piece of human debris,” who “spews out hate-filled prejudice” cleverly disguised as political correctness.

The Pentagon is warning that China will soon have arms dominance over the United States. Of course, being communists, I’m sure they’ll give some of their arms to underprivileged nations in the area… Like North Korea, for example.
