The Kansas gubernatorial race was a tough fight for the GOP in the deep red state as many of the polls leading up to Election Day favored Democrat Paul Davis.
Just after 12am EST on Election Night, NBC News called incumbent Governor Sam Brownback the winner in Kansas continuing the conservative tradition of electing Republicans in the Sunflower State.
