President Obama is set to head to Philadelphia for two events organized by the Democratic National Committee Thursday, the same day the first major and closely-watched fundraising quarter of the 2012 presidential campaign cycle draws to a close.

The president will first deliver remarks at a fundraising bash at the Hyatt in the early evening before attending a second event at an undisclosed private residence. Neither the Obama campaign nor the DNC has said how much cash they are expecting Thursday’s set of fundraisers to generate.
