Romney Health Bill Page-Count Pitch Disputed

Mitt Romney’s claim that his healthcare reform measure was just 70 pages long while President Barack Obama’s weighs in at some 2,700 pages “is silly.” An “apples-to-apples comparison suggests there is virtually no difference in page count,” The Washington Post concluded in a fact check of the statement.

Romney has tried different ways to separate Romneycare from Obamacare in recent weeks. Just two days ago he said his measure was 70 pages while Obama’s was 2,700, adding that “in those extra 2,630 pages he’s doing a lot of stuff that is just devastating to the health care system in this country. He’s wrong.”
