KJP Stutters When Questioned About Who Is Funding the Pro-Hamas College Protests

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer crucial questions on reports claiming alleged professional pro-Hamas protesters are grooming college students.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Jean-Pierre on Wednesday about recent reports that allege outside protesters are recruiting young, impressionable students to take part in their pro-terrorism rallies.

Doocy asked Jean-Pierre if the Biden Administration would investigate the funding behind these encampments— pointing out that almost all of the encampments at universities across the nation had matching tents.

However, the Biden staffer refused to address the question head-on. Instead, Jean-Pierre insisted it would be up to local law enforcement to find out.

More from KJP and Doocy's exchange:

“Some of these encampments, they had matching tents we’re being told, that there are professional outside agitators involved. We don’t know if they’re being paid to sow chaos by domestic folks or foreign entities. Does President Biden want his administration to find out who is funding some of these protests?”

“What I can say is—you know, um … I cannot uh … I cannot speak to the organizations that are being reported that are on the ground. That is not something for me to speak to. That is obviously something for local governments—local officials—I keep saying local governments, local officials going to speak to. They’ll have better information on that. What we have said, and I don’t think I’ve iterated that yet from here is that the DOJ and FBI are gonna continue to offer support to universities and colleges with respect to federal laws. That is what the DOJ and FBI are doing. As far as local organizations and what is all being reported on the ground, that is something that local law enforcement is certainly looking into.” Via the Daily Caller.

Several reports, including one I wrote, found that left-wing billionaire George Soros is funding pro-Hamas agitators to recruit protesters from universities throughout the country.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams also sounded the alarm on who is the mastermind behind the pro-terrorism protests, saying that there are people on the campuses who have no reason to be there.

"They were people who are professionals and we saw evidence of training," he said.

Among the protesters at Columbia University was the wife of Sami Al-Arian – a well-known terrorist who was deported from the United States after financially funding a Palestinian terrorist group.
