Colorado school recognized for closing achievement gap

Wildflower Elementary School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been recognized as a 2016 National Title 1 Distinguished School. This award is given to schools that are able to close the achievement gap among minorities, low-income students, English language learners and students with disabilities. “We’re proud of continuing to take the school to the next level,” said Principal Wendy Godwin.
