Why Is America Holding Back During The Russian Invasion?

There are three reasons the United States is holding off on taking further actions in Ukraine, according to Wall Street Journal Washington Bureau Chief Jerry Seib. Firstly, the Administration wants to wait until a meeting happens on Thursday between Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Lavro. Secondly, Europe is reluctant to take a stand and sanctions from the U.S. alone do little to dissuade Russia. Thirdly, the U.S. and the Europeans now worry that hostile acts toward Russia might incentivize Vladimir Putin to take even more aggressive actions in Ukraine.
