Three States Rejected Russia's Request To Monitor Elections

After recent hacks of the Democratic National Committee were publicly blamed on Russia by President Barack Obama, the Russian Consulate General in Houston, Texas has requested permission to have an officer present at voting stations in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. The request has been rejected by all three states. It's unclear what intention was behind the request, but with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's apparent admiration for Russian president Vladimir Putin and an ally of Putin openly declaring that a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for war, its a request that should be taken seriously.
