Obama Administration Accuses Russian Government of Election-Year Hacking

The Obama administration says it's "confident" that the Russian government is responsible for recent election-year hacking, including attacks on the email system at the Democratic National Committee and on various state election systems. A joint statement by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said, "We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities."
