The Westboro Baptist Church – a group known for demonstrating at military funerals with signs that say “God Hates Fags” or "Thank God For Dead Soldiers" – will be picketing at The George Washington University and Arlington Cemetery on Veterans Day.
According to their website, the WBC will protest the “God-hating heathens” at George Washington University “to remind this nation that this next generation of young people have been raised for the devil himself.”
Soon after the WBC announced their schedule, a counter-protest group was formed on Facebook; over 1,000 people have joined so far.
After their time at GWU, the Westboro Baptist Church will continue their day of spreading their twisted version of God’s message at Arlington National Cemetery’s wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier "to remind people that America is doomed.”
