I wore the uniform in Vietnam and many came back to all kinds of disrespect. Whatever we think of war, we owe the men and women of the armed forces unconditional support.

Blumenthal did not wear a uniform in Vietnam, and to assert otherwise is not only disrespectful to his constituents, but insulting to the millions of men and women who have bravely served and given their lives in order to protect our nation over the course of generations. There is no doubt that voters in Connecticut will hold Blumenthal accountable for his shameful lies when they cast their ballots in November.Amen. Meanwhile, former presidential candidate Fred Thompson doesn't mince words and rightly calls Blumenthal a "lying weasel."
