ICYMI: Here's The Vice Video On The Chaos From Charlottesville; UPDATE: Chaos At City Council

We’ve all heard about the chaos in Charlottesville, Virginia. The president has been torched by the liberal media for not having a stronger condemnation of the violence that broke out between white nationalists and the far left Antifa protesters, which left scores of people injured on August 12. One woman, Heather Heyer, was killed when a white nationalist plowed through counter demonstrators. A tiki torch rally was held the night before. These extremist white nationalist groups held this Unite The Right rally to protest to removal of a Robert E. Lee statue. Vice News was on the ground, even capturing the moment that James Alex Fields, Jr. plowed through counter protesters.

Chants of “You will not replace us” and “Jews will not replace us” are explicitly clear from these groups, most of which are proto-Nazis. Christopher Cantwell, a white nationalist, sat down with Vice News Elle Reeve, where he said he got into the “racial stuff” after the Trayvon Martin case, which related to Michael Brown and Tamir Rice, showed that it was a “black a**hole behaving like a savage” and getting in trouble. He makes no qualms about how he thinks whites don’t act that way, and how it should be taken into account when you organize a society. Reeve quickly listed off domestic terrorists and prominent acts of violence that were committed by white people, like Timothy McVeigh and Dylan Roof, noting that violence is not predisposed to just one racial or ethnic group, but Cantwell was unfazed.

He also said that he never said white people weren’t capable of violence, saying he’s trying to become more capable of it, listing his workout routine and him carrying a gun during the interview.

“I’m here to spread ideas, talk in the hopes that somebody more capable will come along and do that; someone like Donald Trump who doesn’t give his daughter to a Jew.”

There’s the insinuation that Trump is racist, given that Reeve and Cantwell speak about a Trump that is more racist rising from the political ashes to lead this hodgepodge group of anti-Semites. Cantwell is maced twice in the video. The second time, he’s pouring milk on his face while supporters shout “Heil Cantwell.” That brings us to the other folks, who were just straight-up Nazis.

In the video, the white nationalists are pushed out of Emancipation Park about a half hour from when the speakers were suppose to deliver their addresses. They move to nearby McIntire Park, where Cantwell laments how they’re just obeying the law, while they get rolled by criminal elements in the city. Cantwell doesn’t say outright that they’re non-violent; they just weren’t the aggressors, but added “we’ll kill these f**king” people if we have to.”

“That’s because this city is run by Jewish communists and criminal ni**ers,” said the Daily Stormer’s Robert “Azzamador” Ray.

As reported, Gov. Terry McAuliffe issued a state of emergency, which effectively shut down the rally that moved to McIntire Park. David Duke, a former grand wizard in the Ku Klux Klan, lamented how their speech was being stifled, how they wouldn’t allow the audio equipment to be hooked up, and how the powers that be won’t let them tell the truth about the ethnic cleansing of America. As you can see, it’s a rather odious bunch of people.

Matthew Heimbach, another white nationalist, said that the Left wasn’t able to beat them with their violent radicals, so they used to the state to shut them down.

“If that doesn’t go to show that the radical Left, the corporations, and the state are all on the same Jewish side, a moment like this proves it,” he said. When asked about organizing tactics, Heimbach listed the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn movement in Greece as an example.

After the footage of the car attack, Reeve spoke with Tanesah Hudson, a local activist, who said that it wasn’t about a statue, and that this issue, the chaos, is about right is right and wrong is wrong.

“This is the face of supremacy. This is what we deal with every day being African American, and this has always been the reality in Charlottesville. You cannot stand in one corner in this city and not look at the master on top of Monticello. He looks down on us. He’s been looking down on this city for God knows how long,” she said.

Yeah, that’s a reference to Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, who was born in Charlottesville; helped found our great country, the University of Virginia, and wrote the Declaration of Independence. Just very minor things, right?

The video ends with Reeve speaking with Cantwell, who shows her all the guns he's carrying, saying that the carplowing into the crowd was justified because the person behind the wheel was attacked, and that it was the left wing protesters' own fault for not getting out of the way. There's nothing to substantiate that claim.

Who started the violence is not shown. The white nationalists say it was the Antifa and vice versa. Frankly, it doesn’t matter. Both groups are terrible. Both groups are insufferable. Both groups are made up of violent bullying thugs. No one who is rational should have a dog in this fight. It’s the very worst of American political society on display here. What needs to be understood, however, is that the Left will try to lump all of us who vote Republican or support Donald Trump with these losers. That’s demonstrably false. It's just a group of terrible people, Antifa and the white nationalists. This circus is far from over.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper interviewed Reeve, where she said the white nationalists knew what they were doing, and there were no innocent victims swept up in the chaos. Moreover, there were no let’s call them ordinary protesters, people who weren’t extremists, but did not support the removal of the statue. Also, even if you felt this way, when Nazis show up—it’s best to just leave (via Real Clear Politics):

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: "Vice News" correspondent Elle Reeve was in the middle of that. She joins us now.

Elle, thanks for being with us.

You were at this Tiki torch march. Explain for us what you saw and the chants you heard.

ELLE REEVE, CORRESPONDENT, VICE NEWS TONIGHT: Well, the most striking thing is how well-organized it was. There's people doing crowd control. There are people dropping off specific locations.

There was security. There are people handing out extra Tiki torches. Everyone who was there knew exactly what they were signing up for.

COOPER: When you say there was security, you mean security by the neo-Nazis, by the white supremacists, by the protesters?

REEVE: That's right. They have a circle of mostly Iraq and Afghanistan War veterans who now do security for Richard Spencer and other white nationalist groups.

COOPER: And when the president says that there were good people at this march, that they were quietly there to protest the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue, that not all of them were neo-Nazis or white supremacists, what do you think -- is that true?

REEVE: No. Everyone who was there knew what they were doing. They were shouting, Jews will not replace us. It was very well- coordinated. They had an order to the chants. Like there was no mistaking. There are no innocent people wandering up and accidentally getting involved in this.

COOPER: So, there wasn't a contingent of just, you know, Confederate statue-loving, civil war history buffs who --
REEVE: History buffs? No.

UPDATE: Monday’s meeting of Charlottesville city council devolved into chaos, as protesters, unhappy with how Mayor Michael Singer allowed white nationalists groups to enter the city and hold a rally, began shouting. A banner that read “blood on your hands” was unraveled behind the city council members to shouts of “shut it down.”
