Today, Evan Bayh will attend a summit with Barack Obama on "confronting 21st Century threats."

But this is what he had to say about Obama's ability to confront those threats a few months ago ...

"The question is, who is experienced enough, smart enough, tough enough to actually implement those plans? And I just think, look, Barack is a great guy; he's got a lot of strengths. But I find that her [Clinton] seasoning, deep experience, familiarity with these issues, gives us a better chance of getting the job done." (Evan Bayh, Transcript: "Evan Bayh On Hillary Clinton's Foreign Policy Experience," National Journal, 3/21/08)
Of course, Bayh was a big Hillary supporter ... And these comments are by no means as pointed as comments Hillary made, herself, about Obama's ability to handle "3 am" problems.

Comments made during a primary can always come back to haunt you, but these comments are especially dangerous -- because they reinforce serious concerns Americans already have about Obama ...
