I've been working the phones, calling folks I know in Michigan.  One conservative operative in the state tells me this:

I think McCain wins. He's leading in all the polls. 

Although Romney has had a strong couple of days, I think overall his message, although targeting the economy, I don't think connects with residents. It almost seems like he's targeting the union auto workers. 

Huckabee has the strong "I'm a conservative" message that the Dutch Christian Conservative base of west Michigan can connect too. 

The conservative vote could easily be split between Huckabee and Romney.  Romney will clearly take in a larger percentage, but I still think McCain wins. 

It's t-minus 12 hours until the polls open and I still don't know who I am voting for.
