What did you see?

I was surprised by his No. 1 pick for best movies, and plan to put it on my list of things to watch.

Also want to give "Flyboys" a shot. I vaguely remember that coming out, but not much more about it after that. Medved fills in the blanks:

The fact that nobody saw this rousing, richly entertaining, crowd-pleasing gem helps to explain the shameful lack of broader recognition. Director Tony Bill showed extraordinary devotion, dedication and flair in re-telling the true story of the Lafayette Escadrille – the volunteer American pilots who fought for France before our own country entered World War I. In addition to creating a dozen endearing, indelible characters, the film provides the most thrilling scenes of aerial combat ever captured on film.
