Ali Bubba writes a stunning tribute to Kenneth Van Auken, who died in the World Trade Center, Sept. 11, 2001.

He was a stock broker, a husband, and a father to Sara:

Every daddy knows, Sara, why your father's voice trembled as he made that phone call to your house the morning of September 11, 2001, after the terrorists had crashed Flight 11 into WTC1. Kenneth Warren Van Auken was not afraid for himself -- he was afraid for you, your brother and your mother. He was your mother's "rock," and a Superman to his children, and what would become of them without him there to protect and care for them?
