Yesterday after a week of recess, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi returned to Washington D.C. and blew up a bipartisan plan to rescue the economy from the devastating impact of Wuhan Coronavirus. Like a good soldier, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer followed along.
Today the market is crashing again and Pelosi plans to demand a leftist wishlist, full of student loan 'forgiveness,' 'election protection' funding and more irrelevant topics, before House Democrats will move forward with any kind of relief package for suffering Americans.
Via senior GOP aide, Schumer/Pelosi now pushing these demands amid pandemic-fueled economic collapse:

1) Unprecedented collective bargaining powers for unions
2) Increased fuel emissions standards for airlines
3) Expansion of wind and solar tax credits
You have got to be kidding me. Perfect time to break out the ideological wishlist. This is so irresponsible I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it. https://t.co/Oguf7Tf60n

Former Navy SEAL and Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw is responding to Pelosi's stunt and calling for accountability.
We will not forget this. More businesses are closing tomorrow while you peddle this lie. You literally stopped a good bill because it *didn’t have enough red tape*. You hate American businesses so much that you would sacrifice our economy out of pure contempt. #wewillnotforget https://t.co/mhDXytxZh8

I am not one to make hyperbolic statements. But what Senate Democrats have done is truly awful. This bill was negotiated in good faith. Been monitoring its progress all week. It can save our economy.

And they killed it. Out of spite and bitterness.
Hold Dems accountable.

Democrats torpedoed a bipartisan emergency bill that:
— Dan Crenshaw (@DanCrenshawTX) March 23, 2020
-Provides payroll & rent for small business
-Credit to businesses across America to keep them afloat
- Cash in American’s pockets
-?? unemployment benefits
They have no good reasons. Just partisanship. Call your reps NOW. pic.twitter.com/7WvBaX2wxT
Do Dems want a recession? A depression? How can they justify this? This bill is critical for the livelihood of millions. Our country will be devastated without immediate help. Dems can lie all they want about “helping workers” but now they are destroying their lives.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will hold a vote on the current relief package today at noon. Thanks to Democrats, it is expected to fail.
