CNN Anchor: Republicans Actually Have a Point About the Whistleblower

During President Trump's impeachment trial Thursday, Chief Justice John Roberts refused to read a question submitted by Republican Senator Rand Paul. The reason, allegedly, is because the question named the whistleblower who filed the second-hand complaint about President Donald Trump's July 25, 2019 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Arguably, the reason the Senate is holding an impeachment trial is because of the complaint.

Paul published the question and stated it is not about the whistleblower, but instead about National Security Council staff.

Considering the whistleblower complaint launched the impeachment process, don't senators and the American people deserve to know more? Even CNN's John King thinks so.

Lead Democrat impeachment manager Adam Schiff has denied knowing or having contact with the person who filed the complaint, which is a lie.

White House attorney Patrick Philbin addressed the issue in the Senate chamber yesterday.
