No Summer Vacation For you

While most of us will spend August slogging our way to work on $4 or $5 gas, Congress will be on vacation.   Some of them will certainly do a citizen meeting or two but most will start gearing up for their reelection campaign this Fall.   What they should be doing is stay in Washington, DC -- and the 90 degree heat -- and get some work done.

In their editorial this morning, The Washington Examiner, has a few suggestions for what Congress should focus on if their priorities were straight; domestic energy, appropriations, judicial vacancies, investigate corrupt trial lawyers, and deal with congressional ethics.

Sounds about right to me.
