"Back in a moment with more on the Republican debate down here in Boca Raton, Florida and who won -- I'll register my opinion when the time comes..."Thanks Chris. Republican voters are anxiously awaiting your declaration from your self-appointed pundit throne. Better yet, how about just interviewing the candidates, ask them how they thought they did. Interview campaign surrogates. Ask them your signature loaded questions but leave the verdict to the voters. They watched the debate too and their opinion is the one that matters.
The 2008 primary season has had one continuing theme -- the voters are sick and tired of the pundit class jumping on questionable poll results, silly applause meters, and bizarre focus groups to force conventional wisdom on the American people. On the Republican and Democratic party sides, voters has repeatedly said, "thanks, but we'll do the voting and pick our nominees and the next president on our own."
