Classy: Marjory Stoneman Douglas Teacher Calls Kyle Kashuv 'The Next Hitler' After Gun Range Visit

UPDATE: Broward County Public Schools said they're looking into the matter:

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Kyle Kashuv is not part of the left wing push his peers have taken on the issue of gun control. He’s a conservative. He’s pro-Second Amendment. And he’s trying to offer another view on this subject in the aftermath of the tragic shooting at his school on February 14 that left 17 people dead. In March, Guy interviewed Kashuv, who at the time was not given an equal platform in the media as that of his more liberal peers, Emma Gonzalez, Cameron Kasky, and David Hogg. All three have become the new faces of the anti-gun Left. So, it’s no shocker since the news media is pro-gun control and appallingly ignorant of firearms, firearm terminology, and the current laws on the books that regulate gun ownership and carry rights. That’s a post for another time, however.

Kashuv is still dealing with the fallout from visiting a gun range with his father, who is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces. It was the first time he had held a firearm. He tweeted, “It was great learning about our inalienable right of #2A and how to properly use a gun. This was my first time ever touching a gun and it made me appreciate the #Constitution even more. My instructor was very informative; I learnt a lot.” He was firing an

AR-15 rifle. It was legal. It was non-controversial. It was what millions of Americans do daily. Yet, he was subject to a harsh interrogation by the school resource officer and a Broward County sheriff’s deputy for going to the range. He had done nothing wrong. They admitted he had done nothing wrong, but grilled him, without consent of his parents, over the nature of the visit to the gun range. It’s absurd. This was done outside of school. Pretty much the authorities were irritated that Kyle had exercised his Second Amendment rights.

Things have escalated. Greg Pittman, a teacher at the school, criticized Kashuv, and his visit to the gun range. Pittman was reportedly told to no longer engage with Kashuv on Twitter, so he allegedly decided to use his classroom to torch Kashuv and say he’s the “next Hitler.” Kashuv is Jewish (via Daily Wire):

According to the high school junior, who sought to remain unnamed for fear of reprisal, Pittman stated that posting photos from a gun range would get you into trouble, and then went on to “compare Kyle to Hitler in terms of what he believes.”

This is insanity. Teachers attacking students in the classroom for their mainstream political beliefs is obviously beyond the pale. It remains to be seen whether the high school administration will call Pittman on the carpet in the same way school security called Kashuv on the carpet for outside-of-school activities.

Here’s the account from another student:

I was in class on April 25th with Gregory Pittman and near the end of class the discussion led to Kyle Kashuv's tweet about going to the gun range. Pittman expressed that he could not speak badly about Kyle because he was specifically told by administration not to. Pittman began talking about what an ass Kyle was and called him "the next Hitler" and said that he was "dangerous" and something needed to be done about him.

“Something needed to be done about him…” what is this The Sopranos? At the same time, it’s your typical liberal. If you can’t win, just call them racist, sexist, or Hitler. If you disagree with them on the issues, they’re Nazis. If you hold conservative beliefs, you’re Hitler, or something. The game goes on and on. You’d think The Man In The High Castle was the actual timeline we’re in given the liberal antics that have intensified since the 2016 election. Kashuv is not a threat. He didn’t do anything threatening. He went to a gun range. Can we get over this?

Also, you’re the teacher, bro. Get a grip and grow up. The kid isn’t kowtowing to the left wing ideology that’s infested education. Good for him. Also, deal with it. I think NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch summed it up best regarding Pittman: pick on someone your own size. Also, who the hell are you and how is this your business? Also, she analyzed the insane Twitter thread that erupted from this gun range outing. Pittman also said that Kashuv wasn’t holding the AR-15 properly. Loesch aptly noted that Kashuv’s finger was nowhere near the trigger and the rifle pointed in a safe direction, with the barrel directed towards the floor. This is, you know, sort of what the NRA teaches in their gun safety classes.

Yeah, Loesch takes Pittman to the woodshed here:
