Double Standard? Planned Parenthood Slams Kellyanne Conway for Calling Out Schneiderman

Planned Parenthood Action, the political arm of the nation’s largest abortion provider, told White House advisor Kellyanne Conway to delete her Twitter account Monday after she called out disgraced New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman over horrific abuse allegations.

Schneiderman tweeted in October that “no one is above the law” and that he’ll “continue to remind President Trump and his administration of that fact everyday.”

Ronan Farrow’s shocking story in The New Yorker, that detailed horrific sexual abuse allegations against Schneiderman from four women, came out Monday evening and Schneiderman resigned shortly following its release.

One woman, Manning Barrish, who alleged that Schneiderman repeatedly hit her and choked her, said that he once attempted to intimidate her by telling her “I am the law.”

Planned Parenthood’s intent with their tweet attacking Conway was unclear and may have been meant as an attack on President Trump, however, many commenters on Twitter wondered if the organization was defending Schneiderman’s behavior.

Schneiderman has strong ties to the organization. He has often touted his early support for abortion.

“If a woman does not have the right to control her own body, she is not truly equal. She is not truly free,” he recently tweeted.

Former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards thanked Schneiderman for his leadership on these issues in December.

The group’s Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens did call for his resignation Monday evening saying his public and private actions “did not match.”
