Last week I gave you a look at Senator Diane Feinstein's semi-automatic weapon ban legislation, which includings new restrictions on semi-automatic rifles, handguns and shotguns. The legislation is expected to be introduced today when the 113th Congress begins.
“On the first day of the new Congress, I intend to introduce a bill stopping the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of assault weapons as well as large ammunition magazines, strips and drums that hold more than 10 rounds.”
Meanwhile, gun control is at the top of President Obama's second term to-do list.
President Barack Obama is planning to move full steam ahead with the rest of his domestic policy agenda. The White House plans to push forward quickly, not just on immigration reform but gun control laws as well.
Liberal state legislatures aren't optimistic Washington will get gun control measures passed and are already taking measures themselves to tighten up restrictions.
