Republican presumptive nominee often champions himself as a counter-puncher. "I'm a counter-puncher," he has repeatedly said. "They go after me, I go after them, and they drop out of the race."
Counter-punchers always let you swing first. As you continue to try and gauge your adversary with attacks, the counter-puncher only becomes more and more comfortable. Counter-punchers always make you feel like everything you do is a mistake, they inflict self doubt. After a period of time, you begin to lose trust in yourself, and then the counter-puncher attacks. Watch any Rocky movie and you will see the perfect example of how a counter-puncher slowly dwindles his opponent down to size and then finishes with relentless and brutal punches.
