"Tell a Friend--Get Covered" Campaign Brings in Celebrities for Obamacare Push

The Obama administration is looking to really reach every potential audience they can at this point. Today they are bringing in this year’s “Sexiest Man Alive”, Adam Levine, to boost interest in Obamacare. Adam Levine is the front man of pop group Maroon 5, is one of the judges on the TV show The Voice, and now has his very own clothing line at Kmart.

But Levine is just one of the celebrities being brought in to help boost enrollment for the failing health care law. Singer Tayana Alia, actress Fran Drescher and actor Kal Penn will all also be in attendance.

The campaign will consist of messages from celebrities, web videos, a new website and a live-streamed event in January. “The idea is a drumbeat of dialogue, a drumbeat of discussion about coverage -- not about glitches, not about the politics, not about the pundits,” said Peter Lee, executive director of Covered California, according to Bloomberg.

I can’t say I am surprised that the Obama administration is trying to do everything they can to get people engaged in the health care discussion. They are trying to revive a policy that has completely failed the people and has been a disaster so far. Maybe the sexiest man alive will be able to convince people to sign up for health care?!
