VERBATIM: China’s National Bureau of Statistics says the official Purchasing Managers’ Index, based on a survey of factory managers, slipped to 50.1 from 50.3 in November. It was the third straight monthly reading above 50, a level that indicates an expansion of manufacturing activity. A parallel purchasing managers’ index for the non-manufacturing sector, which covers construction and services, rose to 52.2 up from 50 in November.

View More »Colombia agrees to take deported migrants after Trump tariff showdown
Colombia has agreed to accept deported migrants after a tariff clash with President Trump. When the Colombian government refused to accept military flights carrying detained migrants from the U-S over the weekend, the president retaliated. He announced an immediate 25 percent tariff, a travel ban, and visa restrictions. Colombia’s president resisted at first, but late Sunday night the White House said Colombia had “agreed to all of President Trump’s terms,” including the acceptance of deported migrants arriving on U-S military aircraft.

View More »Ramaswamy eyes run for Ohio Governor
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Fresh off of his unexpected departure from President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, Vivek Ramaswamy has set his sights on becoming governor of Ohio, his home state.
He’s lined up strategists and plans to announce his run as soon as this week. Ramaswamy will try to follow the paths of Vice President JD Vance and Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno. Those political newcomers won Senate seats with the help of Trump’s endorsement. Ramaswamy’s plans have complicated things for a deep bench of veteran Republican politicians who also may aspire to succeed term-limited Gov. Mike DeWine.

A new Muslim terrorist group is operating in Nigeria
VERBATIM: The African country is already beset with TWO such organizations — Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen — and now Lakurawa has arrived. It’s not actually a new group — it has been terrorizing neighboring Mali and Niger for a number of years. But now Lakurawa has set its sights on Nigeria, killing numerous Christians in the country’s troubled northern region. Tens-of-thousands of believers have died at the hands Islamic terrorists over the last decade. MH SRN NEWS.
