BUCHAREST (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday he expected to reach a compromise by the end of the year on European rules covering the employment of workers from low pay EU countries.

Touring eastern Europe on a campaign against the "posted workers" rules, Macron raised the prospect of a deal in a news conference in Bucharest with his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis, who said that the rules must be clarified and improved.
