China says monitoring U.S. activities in South China Sea after U.S. bomber flights

BEIJING (Reuters) - China said on Friday it was maintaining alerts and monitoring U.S. military activities in the South China Sea, after the United States said two U.S. bombers had conducted training flights on Thursday over the waters.

The defense ministry made the statement in a post on an official social media account.
