ZAGREB (Reuters) - Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Thursday ordered three ministers from a junior coalition partner to be relieved of duty as they failed to support the finance minister in the face of opposition demands for him to step down.

The opposition, led by the Social Democrats, demanded Zdravko Maric step down due to what it called a lack of credibility in his handling of a financial crisis that has hit Croatia's biggest private firm, Agrokor [AGROK.UL].

The government rejected the opposition demand at its session on Thursday, but the ministers from the Most (Bridge) party voted against the government's decision.
