MADRID (Reuters) - Spanish building firm OHL said its offices in Madrid were searched by police on Thursday, as courts cracked down on suspected corruption that has led to the arrests of several people linked to the governing Popular Party (PP).

An OHL spokesman said the firm was fully complying with police. Its shares fell 14 percent after news of the searches broke.

Inspections at a number of companies were carried out as part of an investigation which led on Wednesday to the arrest of former Madrid regional president Ignacio Gonzalez, a police spokesman said.
