BEIJING (AP) — Chinese authorities say a businessman who was one of the country's most-wanted fugitives has returned home after 15 years on the lam in New Zealand and Australia.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said Saturday that Yan Yongmin, former chairman of a drug company, surrendered to police and was returned to China in cooperation with New Zealand authorities.

Yan fled to New Zealand in 2001 after being accused of embezzlement and became a New Zealand citizen.

He was included in a list of the top 100 fugitives sought abroad by Chinese authorities in a marathon dragnet known as "Sky Net."
